Ilyse Baker

ILYSE BAKER, a native New Jersey girl, specializes in jazz and hip hop dance.

Currently residing in Los Angeles, she teaches and choreographs at MaDonna Grime’s dance studio in Hollywood, and attends many auditions for film, tv and stage productions.

Ilyse’s performance credits include MVPA Awards, Orpheum Theatre, Elton John’s AIDS Benefit: “Drag 'N You out for the Holidays,” the smash hit “Creation” at the Crystal Cathedral. She has danced in Speaker of the House’s music video “Shaved,” Carnival Choreographers’ Ball at the Key Club, and in a Coke C2 commercial. Ilyse has performed in Sesame Street Live as Prairie Dawn and Google, the Purple Monster for the VEE Corporation. She got “sea legs” as well as dance legs, entertaining aboard the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.

Ilyse is now focusing on building her choreographic resume; her moves have been seen in the 2003 Elan Awards honoring Rob Marshall, in NYC, and on many stages for “pee wees thru pros.”

Ilyse is a dance competition judge for numerous nationwide conventions and workshops. She has choreographed for the Los Osos Dance Team in California and is currently head dancer and choreographer for JBW Entertainment located in Scottsdale, Arizona. She travels every weekend throughout the year to both perform and choreograph for JBW’s live events.

Ilyse is also smart, having graduated Cum Laude from Point Park College in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance, Performance, and Education. This is truly a winning combination of talent and integrity that we are proud to share with our CHOREOGRAPHY CENTRAL clients.
